What durometer is best for you?

At AWR Racing, we have been making high performance mounts since 1995. We have updated our motor mounts to a larger bushing size which helps reduce NVH, specifically reduce cabin vibration. Alongside a bigger bushing design, we have launched our tested and proven 62 durometer Energy Suspension polyurethane option which is perfect for daily and street use. Are you looking for stability without much NVH transferred to your vehicle? 62 durometer is the perfect solution for you.

62 - 70 durometer is recommended for daily driving with little to no mods. 70 - 88 durometer is recommended for lightly to intermediate modification levels. 88 - 95 durometer is recommended for highly modified street and track builds. You can always opt for a different durometer if your first choice doesn't suit you needs, all of our bushings can be swapped out or replaced!

  • 62 durometer (ultra soft)
  • 70 durometer (soft)
  • 88 durometer (medium)
  • 95 durometer (hard)

Initial NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) will start to settle after about 500 miles driven.

Application:

Mazda 2 Rear Mount For 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 Mazda 2 1.5L MANUAL

Warranty Information

AWR believes so strongly in our engine mounts and sway bars that as of May, 2008 we are now backing them with a limited Lifetime Warranty. What's more, this warranty, excluding bushings, is retroactive to all mounts and sway bars built previously by AWR. Basically, if it breaks or fails, we'll fix or replace it at our discretion. The warranty is 'limited' in that bushings are considered a normal wear item, so the urethane or rubber bushings are not covered, but if the metal cracks, breaks or otherwise fails, we'll replace or repair it.

    Great Upgrade or Replacement

Posted by Tyler James Butkiewicz on 4th Sep 2023

When I first looked into buying this product, I wasn’t completely sure about it. But once I ordered it and put it on the car, I fell in love! These guys really know what they’re doing and put out awesome products with good results and very good customer service as well. I have both the passenger side mount and torque mount in 70a for my daily and honestly it’s a great upgrade over stock. Not to mention is a cheaper replacement especially in the long run.

A small part makes a massive difference.

Posted by Jajuan Mays on 15th Aug 2023

I since got my 2013 Mazda2 nearly a month ago after having some bad luck with a few cars that I had over the past few years. Thankfully my local city had a (Used) slightly modified Mazda 2 already with some aftermarket rims and an HKS exhaust but no reinforcements or an CAI to go along with it. So this is where I come here to improve the honestly average handling of the Mazda2 and went for this DBM (Soft) to replace the awful, deteriorating rubber DBM. The install was a bit of a pain since I was dealing with bolts that haven't been moved out since the car was rolled out from factory but the process is really easy as jacking up the car, Remove a few bolts while holding the old DBM so it can be aligned to be taken out easier, put the new reinforced DBM the same place before along side with the screws and lower the car down to the ground. That's pretty much it! The car when it starts will vibrate much more harshly but after a few days of driving it's less noticeable, it is a bit more noisy but I don't mind it at all. The most noticeable improvement is my the shift points that you can now powershift with ease without the engine moving all over the place if you push your car HARD! The throttle response have improve a little and not trying to fight itself in acceleration. Overall I am very happy that I got this for my Mazda 2 and maybe going to try to get a transmission mount to see it will make a even better difference but that is a bit on the expensive side^^ Cheers!

    Mazda 2 dog bone

This is a high quality part that is very easy to install. Really improved the shift quality of my car. It does cause some low frequency vibrations but it’s not bothersome. I only have about 200 miles since I installed it hopefully the vibrations will dissipate a little with time. Even though there’s a little more vibration the benifits in shift quality and no more of the rubber band feeling is totally worth it. The engine and transmission feel as one now. I’m running the 70 duromoter bushing. Thanks for the excellent product.

    Manual dogbone Mazda 2

Just installed this yesterday, and the difference is night and day! Purchased the 62 to start with, but so far it is perfect for me. If I want to stiffen the bushing up later it is very easy and cheap to do. Good job on a quality part I love it!

    Mazda 2 Dog Bone mount

Absolutely some type of sorcery. Like many others have said....wish I did this on day one. At 70 duro there is a change to NVH, honestly for the better. Just enough to make the car feel and sound alive. It would take too long to really describe how much better the car is just driving around changing through gears. Totally different, how you wish it was from the factory. Cheapest, easiest, and most effective upgrade I’ve ever done to a car.
