What durometer is best for you?

At AWR Racing, we have been crafting high-performance Miata mounts since 1995. We’ve upgraded our Miata motor mounts to feature a larger bushing size, which significantly minimizes NVH, particularly reducing cabin vibrations. In addition to the enhanced bushing design, we are excited to introduce our tested and reliable 62 durometer Energy Suspension polyurethane option, ideal for daily and street driving.

Are you in search of stability with minimal NVH affecting your vehicle? The 62 durometer option is the perfect fit for you.

For daily driving with little to no modifications, we recommend a durometer range of 62 - 70.

For lightly to moderately modified vehicles, a rating of 70 - 88 durometer is suggested.

For highly modified street and track builds, consider the 88 - 95 durometer range.

If your initial choice doesn’t meet your needs, feel free to choose a different durometer; all of our bushings are interchangeable and can be replaced!

Initial NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) will start to settle after about 500 miles driven.

AWR believes so strongly in our engine mounts and sway bars that as of May, 2008 we are now backing them with a limited Lifetime Warranty. What’s more, this warranty, excluding bushings, is retroactive to all mounts built previously by AWR. Basically, if it breaks or fails, we’ll fix or replace it at our discretion. The warranty is ‘limited’ in that bushings are considered a normal wear item, so the urethane or rubber bushings are not covered, but if the metal cracks, breaks or otherwise fails, we’ll replace or repair it. As of now, there are no warranties, either expressed or implied for any other items.
