AWR's engine mount kit is a direct bolt on replacement for your MX5 ND chassis. Fabricated steel replacement motor mounts provided with Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings that mount in the factory location giving more secure engine support. These mounts improve shifting and completely change the feel of the car keeping power sent to the wheels as it should be. Want less engine movement, cleaner shifts, as well as many more benefits? Street and track proven since 1995. This kit is also provided with both passenger and drivers side upper brackets. AWR Racing's MX5 ND upper brackets are specifically built to allow the use of an aftermarket exhaust header as well as an OEM header in any model ND MX5. The passenger side upper bracket is nickel plated for a more durable finish around the heat of the exhaust, this kit is also supplied with a heat shield that attaches to the passenger side mount and bracket. The drivers side bracket is powder coated. These ND upper brackets are made in the USA, laser cut, CNC folded, and tig welded.
These mounts help stop drive train lash (rocking) when transitioning from on and off the throttle. Help keep that engine stable inside the engine compartment, putting the power to the ground instead of rocking the engine and missing shifts. Provides a more direct throttle response and more precise gear selections. These engine mounts are both street and track proven.

What durometer is best for you?
At AWR Racing, we have been making high performance Miata mounts since 1995. We have updated our Miata motor mounts to a larger bushing size which helps reduce NVH, specifically reduce cabin vibration. Alongside a bigger bushing design, we have launched our tested and proven 62 durometer Energy Suspension polyurethane option which is perfect for daily and street use. Are you looking for stability without much NVH transferred to your vehicle? 62 durometer is the perfect solution for you.
62 - 70 durometer is recommended for daily driving with little to no mods. 70 - 88 durometer is recommended for lightly to intermediate modification levels. 88 - 95 durometer is recommended for highly modified street and track builds. You can always opt for a different durometer if your first choice doesn't suit you needs, all of our bushings can be swapped out or replaced!

Initial NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) will start to settle after about 500 miles driven.
