Product Overview
Introducing our latest product: AWR Racing Adjustable 1994-2000 NA/NB 1.8L Miata Engine Mount Kit.
Discover the next level Miata motor mounts by AWR Racing.
Our new adjustable mounts are designed to cater to those with the most mild to extreme builds. Initially, we developed this concept to offer the Miata community the option of installing their motor either at the stock location or at a lower height, depending on their build package. We have had great success by providing lowered mounts and standard height mounts for many years. Our new approach allows for the same options, but with the added benefit of positioning the motor anywhere between these two points with ease. You can now position the motor higher or lower, to assist in aligning turbo or supercharger piping, and to alleviate any clearance issues that you may be facing with your build.
Our new adjustable engine mount kit is a direct bolt-on replacement for Miata chassis with a 1.8L motor. The kit includes fabricated steel replacement motor mounts with Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings for more secure engine support, enhancing shifting and overall car performance. AWR Racing provides engine mounts with different durometer options to cater to the needs of daily, aggressive, and track-driven builds. If you want less engine movement, cleaner shifts, and other benefits, AWR Racing is the go-to.
Why eccentric cam bolts?
The eccentric bolt allows you to position the motor anywhere you want within your build without having to support the motor and re-position the thru-bolts during this process.

Proper installation of mounts is essential to ensure maximum performance and safety of your vehicle. It is important to note that the mounts are specifically designed to be set at stock height, and caution must be taken to avoid lowering either side too much. Dropping the engine too low could damage the brake line and harm the motor if not aligned correctly. Be mindful of this when rotating the cam thru-bolt. Loosen retaining nut 1/2 to 1 full turn maximum. Raise and lower the motor by the captive bolt head only.
To achieve the best results, torque the eccentric bolt to 100 - 120 ft lbs. Once the mounts are installed, simply loosen the locking nut, rotate the cam to meet your requirements, and lock the nut in place. No need to jack or support the motor to pull the thru bolt and re-insert to change the height. With these simple steps, your mounts will be perfectly aligned and ready for action.
Choosing the Best Durometer:
Since 1995, AWR Racing has been producing top-of-the-line Miata mounts. Our motor mounts utilize larger bushings to reduce NVH, specifically cabin vibration. Additionally, we've introduced our tried-and-tested 62 durometer Energy Suspension polyurethane option, perfect for daily and street use. If you're searching for stability with minimal NVH transfer, the 62 durometer is the ideal choice for you.
Here's a breakdown of our durometer options and their recommended usage:
- 62 durometer (ultra soft) for daily driving with little to no modifications
- 70 durometer (soft) for lightly to intermediate modification levels
- 88 durometer (medium) for modified street and track builds
- 95 durometer (hard) for highly modified/extreme builds
If your first option doesn't suit your needs, don't worry! All of our bushings can be swapped out or replaced. Keep in mind that initial NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) may be present but will settle after approximately 500 miles driven.
