What durometer is best for you?

At AWR Racing, we have been making high performance mounts since 1995. We have updated our motor mounts to a larger bushing size which helps reduce NVH, specifically reduce cabin vibration. Alongside a bigger bushing design, we have launched our tested and proven 62 durometer Energy Suspension polyurethane option which is perfect for daily and street use. Are you looking for stability without much NVH transferred to your vehicle? 62 durometer is the perfect solution for you.

62 - 70 durometer is recommended for daily driving with little to no mods. 70 - 88 durometer is recommended for lightly to intermediate modification levels. 88 - 95 durometer is recommended for highly modified street and track builds. You can always opt for a different durometer if your first choice doesn't suit you needs, all of our bushings can be swapped out or replaced!

  • 62 durometer (ultra soft)
  • 70 durometer (soft)
  • 88 durometer (medium)
  • 95 durometer (hard)

Initial NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) will start to settle after about 500 miles driven.

Application:

2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 Ford Fiesta ST

Warranty Information

AWR believes so strongly in our engine mounts and sway bars that as of May, 2008 we are now backing them with a limited Lifetime Warranty. What’s more, this warranty, excluding bushings, is retroactive to all mounts built previously by AWR. Basically, if it breaks or fails, we’ll fix or replace it at our discretion. The warranty is ‘limited’ in that bushings are considered a normal wear item, so the urethane or rubber bushings are not covered, but if the metal cracks, breaks or otherwise fails, we’ll replace or repair it. As of now, there are no warranties, either expressed or implied for any other items.

    Big difference!

Posted by Dakota on 2nd Jan 2020

I’ve had it a week love it you can immediately feel the difference. No more tire hop, smother shift feel, and even when releasing the clutch fees like the power is going straight to the wheels instead of twisting the engine first. Would recommend! P.S. there will be increased vibration noise in cab. Doesn't bother me.

    88duro

I’ve had the mount installed for a week now and it feels so much better than the mountune one that was previously installed. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade. Mind you if you don’t like it having a bit of vibration I’d suggest the softer bushings but I think the 88 durometer ones make it feel a lot more race car like!

    '15 Fiesta ST - 70

Install was pretty simple, 4 nuts and 4 bolts. The mount comes with the bracket so you don't have to knock out the black coloured stock one. The bolts are speced for 48nm (35.4 lb.ft). Went for a quick drive after install. There is a bit of a "boom" as the engine starts up. The mount translates a bit of the noise as the engine chugs to life. The mount does vibrate, most significantly at 1000 rpm. The worst of it goes from a bit over 900 rpm to around 1200 rpm. That's the range where you would feel the vibes through the seats. The rear view mirror stops vibrating completely past 1500 rpm, and the car is pretty much smooth as stock from that point on. The only other vibes that can be felt would be from the brake pedal at around 5000rpm. The vibes itself isn't harsh at all. It feels like the twirly pens we used to play with in grade school. The mount is supposed to mellow out as it breaks in as well. Overall, this mount is what I expected. Much more control over engine movement for a slight bit of vibes at idle w/ a/c on and moving off from a dead stop. Hopefully this will also tame the wheel hop in the rain (beautiful sunny day today).

The mount works great. Helps make shifting smoother under full power.
