What durometer is best for you?

At AWR Racing, we have been making high performance mounts since 1995. We have updated our motor mounts to a larger bushing size which helps reduce NVH, specifically reduce cabin vibration. Alongside a bigger bushing design, we have launched our tested and proven 62 durometer Energy Suspension polyurethane option which is perfect for daily and street use. Are you looking for stability without much NVH transferred to your vehicle? 62 durometer is the perfect solution for you.

62 - 70 durometer is recommended for daily driving with little to no mods. 70 - 88 durometer is recommended for lightly to intermediate modification levels. 88 - 95 durometer is recommended for highly modified street and track builds. You can always opt for a different durometer if your first choice doesn't suit you needs, all of our bushings can be swapped out or replaced!

  • 62 durometer (ultra soft)
  • 70 durometer (soft)
  • 88 durometer (medium)
  • 95 durometer (hard)

Initial NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) will start to settle after about 500 miles driven.

Warranty Information

AWR believes so strongly in their engine mounts and sway bars that they back them with a limited Lifetime Warranty. What's more, this warranty, excluding bushings, is retroactive to all mounts and sway bars built previously by AWR. Basically, if it breaks or fails, AWR will fix or replace it at their discretion. The warranty is 'limited' in that bushings are considered a normal wear item, so the urethane or rubber bushings are not covered, but if the metal cracks, breaks or otherwise fails, we'll replace or repair it.

    Quality

Posted by Justin on 28th Mar 2021

Installed this on my 2008 2.0L 1300km ago. I got the 70 durometer bushings. After instal there was some vibrations at idle and with the ac on. 1300km later they subsided slightly but are still there. Perfectly fine if you are an enthusiast and like to feel of a stiffened motor. If you like soft and cushy this isn't the durometer to go for at least in a 2.0L as there is no balance shaft. Highly recommend this mount as it adds so much pleasure to the driving experience.

Mazda 3 Rear Motor Mount 70 Durometer

    Posted by T. E. on 24th Dec 2020

Opted for the 70 Durometer mount for daily driving and it made an unbelievably great difference in how the car shifts and drives. No more lurching from 1st to second gear, much smoother shifts. A little bit of vibration at idle but it is very minimal, and I do not even notice it anymore. Mount is very well made and the read finish looks great. Only took about 30 minutes to install. Highly recommended-if I had to start over I would order one again in a heartbeat.

    Excellent Rear Motor Mount

Posted by Matthew on 15th Oct 2020

Installed easily in my 2013 Mazda 3 with the Skyactiv 2.0L and 6 speed Skyactiv trans. This part was orders of magnitude sturdier than the cheap one I bought from Amazon. Does add some more vibration at idle but smoothed out considerably after the first few hundred miles. Car shifts better and seems tighter than before. (also replaced the other two mounts with OEM parts.) Highly recommended.

    Amazing

Posted by Jon on 12th Oct 2020

My old rear motor mount was destroyed and I decided to replace it with the 70 durometer. It straight up transformed my car, I was smiling on the test drive. The engine isn't going anywhere and feels very firm. It does vibrate a bit on idle and when the AC is on it's pretty noticeable but I can live with it. It should vibrate less after it some miles. Would definitely recommend these over OEM style mounts.

    Great company

Posted by jj on 21st Sep 2020

Fount AWR through instagram and was very impressed by the account. Ordered this mount and got a email that it shipped same day which is very rare when I order car parts. Pleased with the packaging and got two stickers which was awesome. Took about 30 minutes to install and it is way better than my previous cobb mount and the pricing is so much better. Who ever runs the social media for this company is doing a fantastic job and I am definitely gonna buy more products for my speed in the future.

    Insane

Posted by Elijah on 17th Aug 2020

I got this mount because it was cheaper than all the other ones I was looking at and I was completely shocked.. the quality of the mount is amazing and it was the easiest install of a mod i have ever done in my life and I have had lots of cars ever since I got my license about 15 years ago. Powder coat is honestly great as well, suoer durable. Im gonna tell my buddies at the car meet this week about it because its definitely great improvement on my 2008 hatchback Mazda3. Thanks Awr and Tony with the good customer service. Mount shipped same day and was delivered two days from order date

    eurethane engine mount (soft)

Posted by Neverdun on 28th Aug 2019

This should take about 15 minutes to install. Lube the threads on the horizontal bolt! The mount has a nut welded to the one side, and heat anneals (softens) the threads in the nut. When I first threaded the front bolt in, the threads galled and almost to seized the bolt in. I backed it out and cleaned the bolt threads with a file, and put anti-seize on the threads. Once installed I can say without question this one of the best mods I have done to my 2010 Mazda 5 (5 speed manual) to date. The factory clutch engagement on this car is very long and vague. I found it very hard to engage smoothly and consistently. This seems to be made worse by engine movement under load. My car has almost 200,000 miles on it. Initial install had significant vibration in the cabin at idle, but it chilled out after about 50 miles. The weirdest part is the car feels smoother with the stiffer mount under acceleration than the stock mount. Clutch pickup is much more predictable and consistent especially 1st to 2nd gear. You can tell the resonant frequency of the engine/trans movement has definitely increased. Overall, shifting accuracy is improved as well. This isn't logical with a cable shifter, but who cares! Buy one, you'll like it!
