Customer input

On wednesday Tony Woodford of AWR installed the passenger side mount on my 2011 Speed 3. My other mounts are stock as of right now, but they will be changed out shortly. Once the mount was installed we took the car for a test drive and I immediatly felt the difference. The car was way more positive feeling to my throttle inputs and it was a great improvement with the torque steer of the car. The mount also gave the car a deeper sound as well. The stock mount is way to sloppy for the car and I feel that it takes away from the sporty feeling of the car. As for ease of installation it took only took about 35-45 minutes with some simple tools. The quality and craftsmanship of the mount is great and everything lined right up. We also relocated the stock ground strap that is attached to the stock mount.

Warranty Information

AWR believes so strongly in their engine mounts and sway bars that they back them with a limited Lifetime Warranty. What's more, this warranty, excluding bushings, is retroactive to all mounts and sway bars built previously by AWR. Basically, if it breaks or fails, AWR will fix or replace it at their discretion. The warranty is 'limited' in that bushings are considered a normal wear item, so the urethane or rubber bushings are not covered, but if the metal cracks, breaks or otherwise fails, we'll replace or repair it.

  1. Makes a world of a Difference, Superb quality 5 Star Review

Posted by on 13th Oct 2014

I ordered the 95 Duro for my Mazda5 Van which fit just fine even though it is not listed under application. The unit is beautiful and very well made. I love the fact that it looks like something that is OEM, this is great where I live where the police pops your hood quite often. The mount helps tremendously with wheelhop and helps a bit with shifting. I also have it paired up with the ford focus electric rear motor mount. There is now more vibration in the carbin but still very acceptable. For the first week you will feel alot more vibration and it dies down as the mount settles, that's normal.

  2. Great part 5 Star Review

installed the AWR engine mount in my Mazda three. the car feels a lot tighter than before. i recommend it even if your old engine mount hasn't broken yet.

  3. A Serious Mount 5 Star Review

Posted by on 8th Oct 2013

This motor mount is seriously engineered and beautifully crafted. Very straightforward installation, aligns perfectly. I got the 70d bushing since car is a daily driver. At startup
and very low rpm, there is of course more engine feel/sound transmitted to the cabin than with the OEM part. Seems a bit rough at first but smooth's out totally once you're under way. Highly recommended part!

Nice, solid construction. Easy to install. Clean appearance. More direct feeling to the motor. And finally no more stock mount breaking!

  5. Quality Product, Should Include Torque Specs 4 Star Review

Posted by on 10th Sep 2013

So I received the mount today and installed it right away. Install was a breeze. Only 2 hiccups; first, on my 2008 Mazda 3S Hatch, there was a ground wire/clamp that bolted between the two chassis bolt holes with the OE mount. I had to relocate this with the AWR mount due to the solid bottom plate. Luckily, there is a threaded hole on the passenger shock tower on my car that I was able to use as a replacement, even if only in the short term. Second, there were no torque specs or instructions included with the mount. Although install is very straight forward, I would think it would be a good idea to at least include a torque spec for the bushing bolt since that is a wear item not covered by the warranty. Without this information, I just tightened everything snug (I'm no weight lifter) and marked the nuts with a paint marker so I could check for loosening.

Overall, the initial quality of the product is outstanding. I ordered the 88 duro bushing and NVH is increased moderately over stock. However, this is completely acceptable to me given the benefits of this product. On just a short test drive, I noticed much smoother down shifts, reduced "lugging" at low RPM in high gears, and a reduction in torque steer. As long as it lasts, I am very happy with this mount. Much better than stock and reasonably priced.

  6. Incredible improvement 5 Star Review

Posted by on 19th Jan 2013

I had the standard broken mount on the passenger side of my Mazda 3. When I saw the design of this mount, it was obvious it was much better than stock. I actually thought it was the wrong part at first, until I studied the pictures for a while, and then the lightbulb came on. :)

Simple to put in, figure on an hour.

I got the 95 durometer bushings, which transmit more noise than I want, so I'm getting the 70's. I'm not an aggressive driver, so the softer bushings shouldn't be an issue.

Car feels completely solid now, which is a real thrill.

Rear mount is already ordered, and I'll do that with my next oil change.

  7. love it, 88 duro 5 Star Review

this mount makes the car feel so much more solid compared to the oe.
Plus its a great value, and in my opinion better built than others on the market.

  8. Thanks a ton 5 Star Review

  9. upgrade 88 durometer 5 Star Review

Posted by on 27th Apr 2011

Its a great motor mount solid and helps keep the engine steady

  10. DO NOT GET 70 DURO 2 Star Review

Posted by on 10th Apr 2011

So in a 2005 Mazda 3 70 Duro lasted one week. It is probably my fault because I have an air intake and probably make to many horse powers.
Time to try the 88 Duro's now, assuming these last twice as long I should be good for two weeks of daily driving fun times.

Note from admin** Please note that the 70 durometers are meant for street cars where you want a slightly better pedal response, but if you drive hard, or have higher horsepower, then you will likely want 88 or 95 durometers.
