Product Overview

MX5 NC 2.5 complete engine mount kit by AWR Racing.

AWR Miata mounts are a must have for every enthusiast. There is no substitute for the quality, design, and benefits these mounts transfer to your vehicle.

This motor mount set is specifically designed for the installation of the 2.5 liter motor into the MX5 NC chassis. This allows the motor to be at it's lowest position without interfering with the sub frame. Fabricated steel replacement motor mounts provided with Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings that mount in the factory location giving more secure engine support. These mounts improve shifting and completely change the feel of the car keeping power sent to the wheels as it should be. Want less engine movement, cleaner shifts, as well as many more benefits? Look no further - AWR Racing has you covered! AWR offers the best valued mounts that suit driver needs. We have durometer options for daily, aggressive, and track driven builds. Street and track proven since 1995.

These mounts help stop drive train lash (rocking) when transitioning from on and off the throttle. Help keep that engine stable inside the engine compartment, putting the power to the ground instead of rocking the engine and missing shifts. Provides a more direct throttle response and more precise gear selections. These engine mounts are both street and track proven.

Specifications:

  • Made in the USA
  • Laser cut
  • CNC folded
  • Tig welded in house
  • Provided with Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings
  • Powder coated silver for a very durable finish

Bushings:

70 durometer is recommended for daily driving with little to no mods. 70 - 88 durometer is recommended for lightly to intermediate modification levels. 88 - 95 durometer is recommended for highly modified street and track builds. You can always opt for a different durometer if your first choice doesn't suit you needs, all of our bushings can be swapped out or replaced!

  • 88 durometer (medium)
  • 95 durometer (hard)

Initial NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) will start to settle after about 500 miles driven.

Application:

2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 MX5 NC 2.5L

Warranty Information

AWR believes so strongly in our engine mounts and sway bars that as of May, 2008 we are now backing them with a limited Lifetime Warranty. What’s more, this warranty, excluding bushings, is retroactive to all mounts built previously by AWR. Basically, if it breaks or fails, we’ll fix or replace it at our discretion. The warranty is ‘limited’ in that bushings are considered a normal wear item, so the urethane or rubber bushings are not covered, but if the metal cracks, breaks or otherwise fails, we’ll replace or repair it. As of now, there are no warranties, either expressed or implied for any other items.

    Great Product!

I was advised against this product by a very well-known distributor, based on the fact that the vibrations would have been unbearable for daily use. I was skeptical about this advice and rightly so, because I drove a friend’s car which had them and I didn’t find them any more annoying than any other race-spec modification you can do on a Miata NC, I actually didn’t know they were there and would have never guessed. I noticed the car had incredible sharp throttle response and my friend confessed the engine mounts were the reason for that  The throttle response becomes absolutely immediate, the clutch engagement is smooth and telepathic, vibrations are only noticeable at 2,500 rpm at the moment, but I expect them to improve after some appropriate break-in. The only downside is that I bought the 2.5L version expecting my 2.0L engine to be lower in the engine bay, but that didn’t happen. It falls exactly in the same place as with the stock engine mounts, measuring from a reference point. Other than this small issue (the only reason for the 4 stars review, otherwise it would have been 5 stars easily!), I totally recommend them!
